|Meetings are free for all Design Network members |
|and first time guests who are considering |
membership in The Design Network. Non-
members may also attend select meetings for a
-Typically the fourth Tuesday of the month
|Meeting times unless otherwise stated, are as |
-6:30pm: snacks and socializing
-7:00pm: Guest speaker presentation, one to two
hour presentation, so we can benefit from their
|Design Network business meeting follows, if |
|needed and time allows, along with more |
networking, of course!

|For your convenience, we send an e-mail |
|reminder the week before each meeting.|
|Please RSVP for each meeting and let us know |
|whether or not you are coming! This provides us a |
list of members to call if we need to cancel. If you
do not RSVP, we suggest checking your email for
possible changes before each meeting. This will
help us plan and execute the best possible
programs for your enjoyment.

Nurseries, Natives and Invasives: ‘The history
of invasive plants in the Midwest, the impact of
nurseries and the importance of native plants
Mark operates a nursery specializing in perennials
and ground covers in Perry, Ohio. In 2008 Mark was
elected to the board of the Ohio Invasive Plants
Council as a representative of the green industry. In
addition, during that time as OIPC board member,
Mark spent two years on the board of directors of the
Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association and fostered
a collaboration between the two groups. As an official
go-between, Mark represented industry interests
during the development of an invasive plant
assessment protocol for Ohio. Mark remains an
advocate for natural areas and the ecological
community in Ohio and the Midwest, as well as a
strong voice for horticultural interests.
After Potluck Lunch: Leslie Scott will
demonstrate Noteshelf and Carol Palansky will
demonstrate Tracing Paper and Sketchbook Pro,
all apps for tablets that provide quick design
sketches. Bring your tablets.... if you use one!
This meeting will be held at the home of Leslie
